The model of the electric controlled power supply was made for the opening of the classroom by Ing. Jiří Bumba (teacher at COP) in 2011. The model represents not only the processes in electrical circuits (charging and discharging capacitors in electrical power supplies), but also, for example, the filling of water tanks, filling air vents, cooling in refrigerators, etc. The model is connected to the computer via a multifunctional input/output card allowing reading of outputs and setting of inputs. The resources of the school were used to implement this teaching aid. The cost of the components was 1 500 CZK. The implementation took 40 hours.
The model also allows to electronically change its parameters (R [Ω], C [F]).
