Hovercraft Model

Hovercraft Model

The model of the hovercraft was made, among many other amazing teaching aids, by Ing. Jan Fuka (teacher at COP) in 2000. The model represents, for example, the dynamics of helicopter movement or hovering in a wind tunnel. The actuator is a 24 V fan, designated KD2406PTS1, which is linearly controlled by a transistor. A laser distance sensor 01DLF3KG from IFM electronic is used to measure the ball position. The model can be controlled both continuously and discontinuously. School resources were used to implement this teaching aid.
