Ball and Beam Model

Ball and Beam model

The model of a ball on an inclined plane represents the processes occurring in the control of unstable systems typically found in aerospace. The system models the problems that must be faced by, for example, aircraft designers to stabilize and optimize aircraft behavior during takeoff, flight, and landing. The model is connected to the computer via a multifunctional input/output card that allows reading outputs and setting inputs. This teaching aid was purchased in 2011 from the resources of the Grant Programme of the South Bohemia Region "Introduction of new technologies into secondary and higher vocational schools". The price was 164 816 CZK.
