In the Applied Informatics Laboratory, real technologies are primarily controlled by a computer with Matlab/Simulink environment via the MF 624 multifunctional input/output card from HumuSoft, spol. s r. o. The MF 624 - PLC communication interface allows to control these technologies by PLC automaton by simply disconnecting the communication wire from the computer and connecting this wire to the MF 624 - PLC communication interface. The interface was designed and manufactured in 2016 by Jirka Roubal with the help of colleagues and students of the University of Applied Sciences, see [2]. The resources of the school were used to implement this teaching aid. The price of the components was 1 737 CZK. The implementation took 162 hours.
The interface is powered by DC 24 V and also allows to change the channels of binary and analog inputs and outputs of the PLC using terminals. In this case, the communication interface is connected to the AMiNi4DW2 PLC automat from the Czech company AMiT, spol. s r. o., but practically it would be possible to replace this automat with almost any.
