Water Management Model

Water Management Model

The water management model was designed and produced as part of Tomáš Šikýř's absolvent thesis at the Tertiary technical school in the school year 2010/2011. At that time, Tomáš Šikýř showed great courage, will and perseverance and thus contributed significantly to the direction in which the Laboratory of Applied Informatics has developed to this day. For this he deserves our undeniable gratitude!

The model represents processes commonly found in many industries (chemical industry, oil industry, etc.), in domestic water supply systems, etc. The model is connected to the computer by a multi-functional input/output card allowing reading of outputs and setting of inputs. This work was carried out with financial support from ČEZ Group, a. s. The cost of the components was 53 196 CZK. The implementation took 566 hours.

Reconstruction of printed circuit boards

Because there was frequent detuning of  transducers for displaying the level heights [1, chapter 4.5.2], a complete reconstruction of the board with these transducers was carried out in 2023, including the replacement of trimmers with cermet ones, see Figure 3a. Because there were also occasional failures on the actuator control board [1, Chapters 4.5.5, 4.5.7 and 4.5.8], a complete reconstruction of this control board was carried out in 2025, see [2] and Figure 3b.
